“Besonders pikant: Facebook-Chef Mark Zuckerberg hatte vor dem US-Kongress betont, dass soziale Medien positive Auswirkungen auf die mentale Gesundheit von Menschen hätten.”
Nicht umsonst bezeichne ich Werbeleute immer als “Berufslügner”.
@domodak
Just translated to English
“In particular, pikant: Facebook boss brand zuckerberg had stressed before the US Congress that social media had positive effects on the mental health of people. ”
not for nothing I always call people as “workers”.
No offense, but the translation of my comment to the article quote didn’t quite match the intended connotations.
I would translate it as:
“It has a good reason why I [prefer to] call advertisement specialists “Professional liars”.”

@domodak Sorry I was trying to help by using a translation tool.
@domodak Thanks
Always useful to have a range of tools for this.
@zleap
It’s kinda intended as a competitor to services like Google Translate.
And - to roughly paraphrase one German user on Reddit - “At least when it comes to translations between German and English their results can be used for more than just posting screenshots of them as meme pics on Reddit.”
But be careful: The free version adds something amongst the lines of “Translated with DeepL.com” below your (longer?) texts.
Make sure to always delete that beforehand.
