Anyone know of a foss/privacy friendly wearable for helping find or contact your kid who's wandered off at a park or museum?
I don't like the GPS trackers that upload to a remote server. I've thought about using a family radio walkie talkie though those seem inconvenient to hold on to for kids. Theres also trying to flash a mesh network compatible OS onto old mobile phones or some kind of messages for a smart watch like the pinetime.

@alienghic You could just buy a simple wrist band that has your own contact details on?
@zleap My kid really likes to run and in a large park can get far enough away I can't see them. So I'm looking for a way to either make finding them easier, or tell them to come find me if it's time to go or eat or something.
