I agree, we need to build better, we need to ensure what we build is safe and puts people first.
Do we 'need' to copy themetaverse,
Lockdown over the pandemic has shown people need face to face contact,

We need to look at what makes facebook popular, which is bringing people together.
I hve had some really good conversations on here, so we need more of that in a way. Perhaps more people to simple post sorts results, spark conversations.
Or tap in on FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) so something on here, that is not on mainstream that is such that people DO miss out on something and join.
Perhaps more on-line education courses can make use of the fediverse, so you need to be HERE to make the most of the social / Q&A side of that.
@zleap yeah, that kind of thinking goes in the right direction. Taking a whole-fediverse approach.
In another toot I mentioned we need to try to ditch our 'applopia', the inward focus on individual apps, and make the fedi as a whole be the competitor to FB and others.
@zleap the #Fedijam organized by @houkimenator are another example where fedizens come together in a fedi wide fun activity. It can be tied to this sci-fi economics labs initiative in our own world.
@zleap with my mention of 'worlds' and metaverse most people are thinking alongs that line.
But this in basis has nothing to do with metaverse and VR/AR. It is about imaginative storytelling of all that #Fediverse can be in the broadest sense of the word. And many different activities can be related to that. I think myself that the community and the social relationships are the most important aspect.
