What I wanted fedi to be: a place where I can speak my mind openly about any topic with sophistication and nuance, and if I go off the reservation and point out someone is a Jew or whatever and they’re fitting that stereotype, it doesn’t elicit the usual SHUT IT DOWN tactics you see elsewhere online. Good artists, good musicians, etc, fleeing the controlling atmosphere of Twitter and other social media.

What fedi turned out to actually be: people thinking that typing “nigger” is an argument, few artists and musicians, anime tits, neverending arguments about if lolicon = cp

Feels kinda bad tbh. I’m disappointed, ngl

@NEETzsche Recently I have had some very interesting and engaging conversations on Fedi, and yes, we are not afraid to touch on sensitive topics.

It could be down to who follows you and who you follow along with what you post.

It is not all bad, we are trying to build something, it takes time.
