I’m with @Dangillmor@twitter.com on this. It’s one thing for folks to move slowly toward the anti-fascist, pro-democracy world of the Fediverse. But for MOST journalists to not take the lead to help make a safe platform for journalism and democracy? That’s a crime against humanity.
@shoq I concur with the point made by you and @dangillmor That said most of journalism has always seemed to lag behind trends long before adopting and advocating for them.
What’s that old cliché? "If you read it in the newspaper it already ain’t news no more?"

Problem is a news story can break, be reported before all the facts are fully established, not sure which is worse.
