They need to get on with this. I assume anyone without a criminal record (as in conviction) can run for president, at present Trump can just run again, if he is convicted I would assume someonme would say he can't legally run.

Not that it will stop Trump trying to fight that either through the courts (like a normal person) or as Trump isn't normal through the means such as protest / violence / direct action.

However given people are being hauled in to court and jailed for what happened on Jan 6th, this should prove a deterrent for a call to arms, well for rational people, most of his followers don't seem rational of course.

So please could someone oil the US cogs of justice and get on with it, if you're going to convict.
