We're in the middle of a really messy divorce between nuclear powers in which they are separating their natural resources and entire economic systems as a prelude to World War III: The Nuclear One and I still have to pay my mortgage. Come on. I don't think getting a pass on bills given the circumstances is too much to ask.
If the UK daily mail website is anything to go by they keep repeating state media propaganda that Russia wants to target the UK with a nuclear missile, the mail seem obsessed with repeating that narrative.

I agree, however I just ignore those sensationalist, clickbait headlines, however there are a good few people that for what ever reason, could read those headlines and become more anxious.
I would suspect that a person on the Autistic spectrum may see these headlines, and actually think they are about to launch a nuclear missile at us. Unless they say something and are reassured otherwise.
I am basing this on what was in a course on autism recently where using idioms such as raining cats and dogs to describe heavy rain, they take that literally, hence we are told to avoid idioms, which to me makes perfect sense, lets get back to communicating in a way that is simple and clear.

There's also just a lot of weird and innacurate reporting and thinkpieces. I remember reading one about how Sweden can't just join NATO (!!!) (Multiple exclamations for the author's tone) by some political science professor in the US and one of the major reasons he gave was our military equipment and how we couldn't just integrate into NATO
Like.
What?
Clearly had zero grasp of how close our cooperation already is with NATO, how many missions we participate in etc
@zleap
some people really miss the cold war
