@Tilopa @zleap that’s based on the limited information we know though. There’s a very realistic chance that he gave/sold top secret documents to one of our enemies and they can be used against us.
That $2 billion Kushner got from the Saudis seems fair for the info on how to make nukes and intelligence on their enemies, Iran & Israel

So who is at fault here? If Trump did give or sell secrets. Surely there are safeguards, checks in place with regard to all documents, so something must have gone wrong with the process.
@zleap @Tilopa the only positive thing that has come of trump stealing all those documents is that he exposed just how weak and useless our system for dealing with those documents actually is. Once they have been seen by those with approval, it basically becomes an honor system to return them and not take others. Libraries have a better system for monitoring inventories. We don’t even know what’s missing still. It’s really bad.

The problem is, the recent leak is under the Biden adminstration, it seems like there are peope who have access to this information who should not have been given that clearance or the systems are not protected enough.
Perhaps put sensitve files on servers NOT connected to the internet in any shape way or form. Physical access ONLY to the physical files or to the servers.

I think this would work for most people, Trump however is a lw unto himself and would probably ignore any such rules.

Indeed, a system such as this is probably available now, perhaps however some sort of open source / free software solution would also work better as that would aid transparency.
@zleap @Tilopa that’s why we need a new system that doesn’t allow them to take those documents without it being tracked. There’s no excuse for us not even knowing what’s missing
