#LifeAfterTwitter

There are so few things any of us can do to change our broken society, I can’t understand why more of liberal twitter isn’t smitten by an opportunity to remake how news and knowledge propagates to our planet without threat of government, corporate, or tyrannical fuckery.

Maybe we should not try and fix a totally broken system, as trying to get people to even accept things are broken, will just waste our time further. If we can find those who have already accepted things are broken AND want to build something better we work with them to help do that.

Of course we are doing that here on Fedi, so all we can do is keep up that work.

@zleap I'm interested in large scale social progress in the news and communication space. That includes the use cases you feel would benefit you. But there are many others. Twitter has been a utility for many kinds of services, and a powerful organizing tool. We need a critical mass of users to pull those functions off that old grid and onto our new one.
