We were driving on a back road into town when we saw four vultures perched on a fence. I had the "wrong" lens for a great capture, but I love the essence of this one as he took off towards the trees. I think vultures are very cool birds.

Reminds me of the Disney cartoon where there are 4 vultures, I think it is Dumbo, as they sing they will have seen everything, when I see an elephant fly.
But yes, vultures may not be that good looking, but they do perform an essential function. The former is the issue, given people are obsessed with how they and others look.
Thankfully nonsense such as selfies have not quite made it here yet.
