we should have a platform to inventarize our stuff and SHARE it.

if another person got some they can send them to you.

I think rather than re-invent the wheel, we could do this here, take photo of item, post photo+alt text and information, and facilitate some sort of transaction away from fedi.
There are some good payment systems out there e.g librapay, some are better for that one off transaction.
