the biggest flaw in the fediverse might be the mainstream Mastodon servers encouraging censorship and cooperation with big tech fascists. everyone should be running their own server(s) otherwise you're gardening at gargrons house and he's selling you with the furniture

While I agree with this, a lot of people either lack the skills or confidence to do this on their own, unless we can get Fediverse mainstream as in it gets taught on basic computerr courses as an option for social media , so far providers push Facebook, instagram, along side google / microsoft.
We perhaps need to create a situation where a person can go in to a provider and say my friends are on the Fediverse, please help me set up an account so I can communicate, and have that provider help them.
