could please tell this to the virus.
I am sure that I read somewhere during the main pandemic that we would have to live with the virus for a long time, as in it will be in our communities.
I think the term Pandemic is more to do with where a virus or other infection is, how many countries and people who are infected.
An epidemic is, iirc usually associated with a specfic area or country.
But yes, Covid or varients will always be with us as it is a SARS virus, of which there seems to be several. I still have hand gel at code club, one way to avoid another pandemic would be to maintain basic hygiene, and learn how this one started and actually take steps to avoid future pandemics.
With global warming, who knows what nasties lurk in permafrost or underglaciers, lying dormant for a long time, but now being thawed out, by receeding ice.
