I wonder why infosec folks hold networking events at sports games with beers instead of mani-pedis with tea

Oh that's right, infosec is still heavily dominated by men despite plentiful opportunity to change that as the occupation doubles every 8 years

I'll never be able to reach men who are resistant to developing an inclusive and diverse industry

I'll only reach men who are open to that — and many of them have already been reached. Y'all are important. We need you. If you can reach other men, great. But you being a man who is open to inclusion is vital to our industry.

It's not "being a man" that is negative in any way: it's "being resistant to evolving our industry" — and that weakness doesn't have a gender

I am more then up for building this,. Diversity gives us a wider range of people, skills, experiences to input ideas, solutions in to solving problems, we need to collaborate and share to build good, future proof solutions.
