Elon Musk has become the dominant power in satellite internet technology. The ways he is wielding that influence are raising global alarms.
4,500+ Starlink satellites are in the skies, accounting for 50%+ of all active satellites.
In Ukraine some fears have been realized. Musk restricted Starlink access multiple times during the war - once denied Ukrainian military’s request to turn on Starlink near Crimea, Russian-controlled territory, affecting battlefield strategy.
At least 9 countries—including in Europe and the Middle East—have brought up Starlink with American officials, with some questioning Musk’s power over the technology.
Few nations will speak publicly about their concerns, for fear of alienating Musk.
I am also concerned about the impact on astronomy and clear skies. Any other company would not be allowed to monopolse like this, we need to grow up, stop worrying about upsetting people and take action.,
Hold musk to account as to why he is apparently allowing far right racists, nazis and * phobia on there. I put * as a wild card for several things. (if that makes sense)
Either way any sort of hate, discrimination is not acceptable so should be challenged.
While on the topic and challenging Musk as him why his platform seems to be a place that allows CSAM.?
Ask the awkward questions and keep asking until he gives an answer that makes sense.
