If you don’t follow @lisamelton, you must. She is what I hoped the Web would nourish: what we’ve reduced to “an algorithmic feed,” which we used to call “an editor.” She consumes vastly more of the Mastodon world than you or I, selects those to her taste and judgment of her audience, and re-posts them. And she’s great, but the greatest hope is that there would be more like her, that social media would be like the glorious “Out of Town News” in Harvard Square: editors for every interest.
