Just on a side note here,
Does facial recognition work equally on all faces regardness of skin tone / colour? I remember a report of blood oximiters not working as well on black skin, probably due to the way they work and the need for different calibration for example ( I am not sure)
If there are flaws in the system, they need to be investigated and fixed, as for policing this is surely a TOOL and should not replace actual detective work, it seems we are moving towards people being lazy, and thatis before we factor in the fact that there is serious racism embedded in policing,

In colour photography, the original reference cards for calibrating machines in film processing labs used a photo of a white woman:

Changes happened only after advertisers demanded better:
"things started changing in the 1970s when wood furniture and chocolate makers began complaining that Kodak film wasn’t capturing the difference in wood grains and chocolate types."

(don't read the comments on that petapixel link)
That explains why Indeed seem to think I am suitable for any post that cites the town where I live, regardless of if I am actually qualified for the post.
If employers are too lazy to do the recruitment properly they don't remotely deserve the best staff.
@zleap Yes there's a systematic problem with only testing drugs/medical equipment/you-name-it only on white men. Not even white women get much of a look in.
It's a thing. And a real problem.
