Absurd. Social media platforms have a responsibility to moderate deliberately false and misleading content. Elon Musk deliberately tore all the guardrails off of Twitter and the result is a dangerous platform that is being used to stoke hatred and violence in violation of established law. Other social networks understand these requirements and also must take measures to moderate false and misleading content.

If OFCOM et al in the UK don't take action it will send the wrong message about the online safety bill, what it tells people is do what you want, as OFCOM can't be bothered to act.
