"has 'released all restraints'" worries me greatly

While what Hamas did is horrific does it excuse a response that is equally as Horrific and barbaric?, what happened to international law on war ? I don't expect groups like Hamas to respect this but I would expect countries within the UN to act properly and within the law, otherwise they are simply as bad as the people who committed crimes against them.

After WWII they hunted the Nazis who were involved in running camps and committing offenses, as far as I am aware they didn't go in to germany with the view of razing the whole country to the ground.

Someone needs to show some restraint, we are already seeing other groups e.g Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah siding up with each other.

This is going to be a bloodbath on epic proportions not revenge but massive war crimes.

If I understand things correctly when Adolf Eichmann was apprehended the Jews that did that had a choice, kill him there and then or take back to Israel to face justice before a judge and jury like any other criminal.

They went with the latter option.

This is not a good situation for either side.
