A rundown of some of the heartbreaking updates out of Palestine today:

- According to the Gaza Health Ministry, at least 2,215 Palestinians have been killed, including 724 children, and 8,714 wounded since October 7.

- Overwhelmed, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah has begun using ice cream trucks as morgues.

- In the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, 54 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers, with more than 1,100 wounded.

- According to the Palestinian Health Minister, 28 health care workers have been killed by Israel since October 7. 15 medical centers have been damaged by Israeli strikes, with Beit Hanoun Hospital and Al-Durrah Children's Hospital being rendered out of commission. As well, 23 ambulances “have been damaged and rendered inoperable.”

- The Jordan Field Hospital has also shut down due to Israeli attacks. It “used to provide free medical services to about 1,000-1,200 people daily.”

- Since October 12, most Palestinians no longer have access to drinking water through the tap. According to OCHA, “As a last resort, people are consuming brackish water from agricultural wells, triggering serious concerns about the spread of waterborne diseases.”

- Since October 7, in the West Bank, OCHA has tallied 63 settler attacks against Palestinians, including some cases where Israeli forces were involved. “This represents an average of nine incidents per day, compared with a daily average of three incidents since the beginning of this year.”

What would happen if the Palestinian people take up arms and fight back against the IDF, not in direct support of Hamas, but to defend their homes and take revenge for the death and destruction the IDF have caused.

Some have lost entire families so they probably feel they have very little live for and decide if I am gonna die, I want to take as many of the IDF with me as possible.

Truly frightening prospect but I feel that is possible.

@zleap
Those who oppose hamas were thrown off buildings. Thats how they took over in the first place. I can understand why palastinian in gaza won't speak against them. Nor why they would support anyone else

I am not suggesting the people may join with Hamas, I am suggesting people may end up picking up weapons and attack any IDF forces if they enter Gaza. Many are in grief, shock and are angry as to what is happening to them.

A weapon could be rocks, metal bars, tools anything that they can use to inflict revenge on the IDF and they are also protecting their homeland.

Sure the IDF will fight back, but the people of Gaza realise they are going to either starve to death, die from lack of water, die from lack of medical care, or perhaps die at th hands of the IDF.

They will protect their land or die trying, similar to the home guard in the UK during WWII they were prepared and willing to die defending the country.

Israel-Hamas war stuff

Not that I like violence, but I can also understand Hamas firing or attacking military targets. In war its legitimate to attack an enemy army. Ideally, the army should not attack civilians if they are not fighting back. In my view any civilians that are hit and were not participating the fighting are innocent bystanders. I think a lot of people here in @israel share that view.

Its sad though that after the massacre I hear a lot of people responding in "we gotta flatten the area in response to these monsters"
