Windows: Let me show you a loading screen, while I replace some DLLs, that are hardly used. Oh, because of the DLLs, you will have to reboot now. (Takes 30 minutes.)

Linux: Please continue to work, while I replace the kernel, several services and software, that is running at this moment.

with the ufei secure boot thing, it does need a reboot, but this can be done at any time. So last night I updated then just shutdown as I was heading for bed, when I turn my computer back on it will just work as normal.

Mint asked me to set a secure boot password when I installed it, so if the system does want to update the kernel or low level boot stuff, it just asks for that password (twice). I don't have a problem with any of this.

I dualbooted with windows 11, and have not booted back in to windows since.
