How did Donald Trump end up with so much hatred for people?

We know hitler survived WWI, prior to WWI germany was powerful nation, the war decimated the Army and I think post war there were some limits imposted by other countries on how big the army of germany could be ( I need some help here)

So I think Hitler vowed to rebuild his country.

@zleap Germany was paying reparations after WW1.

This was widely seen as a cause for WW2 and after WW2 (West) Germany did not have to pay any reparations and instead received aid to rebuild the economy.

@GreenSkyOverMe

Cool, thanks for this, which is why I asked for help. So there are differences. But yes as with the other comment Trump is in this for himself,

Worrying how many get drawn in to his rhetoric but he can talk and get his message across.

@zleap @skykiss

Trump is only in it for his megalomaniac narcissistic ego. And to save his ass from jail. The only thing that matters to Trump is Trump.

@xs4me2 @zleap @skykiss

Absolutely correct.
The same applies to the family members involved and the companions, stirrup holders and pseudo-politicians who have risen through Kompromat.

But how do you get tens of millions of voters back down from the trees if you succeed in decapitating the evil?

@oppophonist @zleap @skykiss

By reason and arguments. By taking away the resentment that pocket fascists an totalitarians use as a tool to distract from real problems.

@xs4me2 @zleap @skykiss

Under normal circumstances, one should assume that this could work.

However, in the 60+ years that I have been on this planet, I have not come across any example that has achieved this sustainably.

With social media, resentment has mutated into the nuclear fuel of reactionary politics.

Unfortunately, half-life is unknown.

@oppophonist @zleap @skykiss

Social media gave the would be dictators yet another tool.

And yet, democracy is resilient.

Dictators never last is what I have seen in my 60+ plus years and what I have seen in history.

@xs4me2 @zleap @skykiss

It is in the nature of everyone's political career that it ends at some point.

However, I consider systemic dogmas that develop over generations to be the actually dangerous topic.

In Russia, China or North Korea, the attitude towards democracy has not changed in our lifetime.

And at present, the global balance of power suggests that demagogues like Trump could be the scattershot, that the defense of democracy could be confined to a very limited habitat.

@oppophonist @zleap @skykiss True, only time will tell, but we are here to change it!
