@nixCraft No, honestly I can absolutely do that, but my laptop overheats when placed no a yoga mat. That's the only reason.

Check the fans and vents, you may be able to put laptop on a stand that allows air flow.

@zleap @nixCraft But using a stand would not be the correct yoga pose for the laptop and destroy its karma.
(Unless you didn't notice the context, in which case, don't worry, my laptop's cool)
