is it common to have loved ones call/text after they get back to their homes after a visit? there was a woman I was dating who seemed a bit confused when I texted her to take I had made it back. maybe it's just when it's over a long distance, like with a train or plane journey that other folks do that?
@2ck Not only common among my loved ones, but expected. Was surprised when I first learned that wasn't the same for everyone's families.
@2ck Not uncommon here, but a woman you're dating might maybe not know you long enough to find this normal?
@2ck Here it is very common, but maybe just because we have very high levels of crime and violence
@2ck in my country this is super common irrespective of the length of the journey but when I moved to the UK friends always complained about me being weird/paranoid for texting/calling to make sure they got home safely...
