meta, Mastodon feature question
I would like to set things up in the following way:
On my home feed: read the people I follow, including things they have boosted, you know, the way it usually works
Add 15 of them to a new list "neighbors"
When viewing the "neighbors" list, only see toots/posts written by those 15 users, excluding posts by other users that they have boosted
Is this feasible using any of the web interfaces or phone apps? I am open to lists not being the right tool for the job.

@brainwane I use MetaText (available for iOS) that has people I follow, Local (from my server) and federated feeds. It also has lists feature. Would that be close enough to what you are after?
meta, Mastodon feature question
@brainwane I believe the lists feature I see on qoto is exactly that
meta, Mastodon feature question
@brainwane oh. my bad. I missed that. I guess it would work the same?
out of curiosity, why do you want to exclude boosts?
meta, Mastodon feature question
@2ck Thanks for rereading. :)
When I am reading my home feed I want everything being said AND boosted by the people I follow (some are friends, some are public figures, etc.). But that can take a while. I'd like the option of sometimes just catching up with the "what's up with me and my life" posts from my friends. No "here's an interesting article/cute meme/public service announcement" boosts, just stuff they directly said.
meta, Mastodon feature question
@2ck For any user I follow, I have the option of excluding their boosts from the posts I get from them. But that affects BOTH the main Home feed and any list I put them on. I'd like to have it both ways, in a way.

@brainwane @2ck i'm looking for the same feature set for the same reasons.... if i figure it out, i'll pass it along
meta, Mastodon feature question
@brainwane I see. I forget people have share that kind of thing on social media. I just talk directly to my actual friends and family.

@2ck People definitely use these platforms super differently! Thanks for the conversation
meta, Mastodon feature question
@2ck Hmm, is qoto doing lists differently than most other Mastodon instances? Because the lists feature in general does not seem to exclude/filter out boosts by those users.
