so is the "influence" that twitter has largely indirect?
because normal people don't interact with it directly
is it influential in that the people that make media use it and that shapes THEIR perception, and therefore influences the media they create?
or is this "influence" Great Man Theory at work, in that people with power are influenced by it directly?

@izaya I'm not sure what a normal person is. I think a lot of people who aren't journos, famous ppl, or other influence junkies do read and post to Twitter regularly. Still, i agree that the fact that influential people care about what happens on Twitter is a major reason why it's important
