Thank you #fediverse for sharing #love and #knowledge !
I am so grateful I can benefit from each of you everyday to grow as a human being ❤️ 👀
Have a wonderful friday !
#baking is such a f*cking ordeal 😒
@rodolpho You mean because Novotny isn't a kernel dev? Yeah, I get that. At the same time, kernel devs have the power here. If a new solution doesn't work, they'll just keep using what does.
@rodolpho Texas, USA. We have an "Electricity Facts Label" info sheet that has a "renewable content", field but it only goes to the level of detail you show for your provider by exception
Replaced the cilantro and parsley with spinach in my baked falafel patties, and it turned out OK. I only had to bake it for longer (~40 minutes vs ~20) because of the extra water, but it's still definitely a falafel flavor. I did add some ground coriander to the mix though to make up for the absent cilantro and parsley flavors.

@rodolpho the quotations from Novotny are pretty shit as far as explaining what she's up to, but it's not "plain text" that's a barrier, but the LKML and the email/patch-based workflow. seems a weird place to focus though for the stated problem
@rodolpho Cool. Do you get that for every bill? My energy co. provides a breakdown of renewable vs nonrenewable, but i only saw it before signing up. You're in Switzerland?
a text-to-speech add-on for irssi with different voices for each user would be nice

Thanks to whoever suggested the Japanese "Parallel Text" collection. My slow brain can only manage a sentence or two of japanese a day, but having a good translation already available really helps over needing to look one up each time (though I still hunt up a few kanji)

@izaya as your primary workstation? I ran it a while ago as a fun little adventure, but ultimately didn't find much value over Linux. It's supposed to be better for stuff artists and multimedia producers, right?
@eli_oat I tried to think of someone who this describes. I would think most people get really interested in something to achieve something or because other people are also into whatever they're in to.
I can understand distances that I could conceivably travel, but when you start talking megaparsecs, you might as well say "really super long" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galaxy_filament

@izaya it's here https://github.com/mwatts15/TagFS/tree/fuzzing . The README actually does an OK job saying how it works. There's also xattr for display and edit of tags. I dropped the "::" sub-tag stuff: has marginal utility and was a PITA to integrate with other components. Dealing with untagged files and what to do with the root directory lead to some quirks. The last feature I wanted to add was to support traditional hierarchical directory structure inside of the tag-based structure to support apps that depend on that kind of layout (e.g., Git), but you can get part of the way there with symlinks into hierarchical FS
@izaya I made a tag-based file system a few years ago. I gave it up because there were too many one-off tags: there weren't enough shared tags to group them usefully
