@est hm. yeah, I guess you'd need to explicitly set it for what you're wanting to inherit from, perhaps using a --variable
I wish I had the aesthetic sense to ever reach for a letter-spacing, let alone needing dynamic constraints for the same
@troublewithwords thank you. I don't reply to people's posts with that because I'd feel like a nag, and I generally assume people know what they're doing and decided to do it anyway.
@est usually there's a separate rule for that like a "min-height" or whatever...so what are you trying to use it for?

@susseratal I'm not personally interested in that (the fantasy stuff), but an antarctic exploration game would be dope. I often think about the part of "left hand of darkness" where Genly Ai and Harth rem Estraven are crossing that frozen no man's land. There was a mix of planning, chance, and courage that I found super compelling.
If you could make a game with the right atmosphere, give it a heart, and a solid resource management system, I'd for sure play that.
Attempting to gauge interest, so please boost outside of my (rather small) circle:
Would there be any interest in a (largely menu based) game about the fantasy adventuring life.
A bit like Skyrim meets the Oregon Trail.
You explore the world, helping people with quests and general adventuring, all while having to hunt for food, manage energy and maintain equipment.
Goal would be to replace fancy graphics/3d movement with lots of depth and content.
Questions and criticisms welcome.
@izaya I can tell you where it's *not* and how I got these scars
I guess I can talk about this now?

So the day after I got a neutral density filter, I took the camera out to see what that sucker could do in broad daylight.
An ND-8 only gives you 3 stops of darkness, which in daylight is enough to capture *some* motion blur, but only if you push other settings to the max to slow the shutter down (i.e. ISO 80, f/38).
This was the result: 1/4 of a second of water hitting a crystal paperweight.
Add 3 minutes to retrieve the ball from the ocean after the wave carried it away.
