@nergal gnu isn't an operating system. It's mostly a bunch of tools. Linux is just the kernel, so it's technically not an OS either. Combine them together and you have the makings of an OS.

However, the GNU OS was never a thing. It was announced, but there was never a kernel, meaning all those fancy GNU projects wouldn't actually run as an OS. There is the HURD kernel now though, but that's outside the question.
@ozoned@nergal well gnu is his baby, and if he says it is a duck billed platipus then that's what it is :) As for his world view and other political opinions, I have no kcuFs nor rolling doughnuts for them to go through.
