I have Thoughts and I'm trying to put them into words, and I'm not sure I'm succeeding so I don't want to post them in public. They boil down to this:
You are not obliged to do the work of educating people on trans issues. It's fine if you don't. But there are people who do get paid to educate people on trans issues, or who will do it for free voluntarily. While you don't have to educate people, you can at least do them (and society) the favor of directing them to the people who are voluntarily doing the education, free or paid.
And if you refuse to even do that favor, don't expect the people you're interacting with to improve.

我们town只有8万人，今天出了年度预算，这八万人要花388 million usd.......
近4亿美元28亿人民币8万人花。
第一反应是深刻感受到了第一世界的有钱。
但仔细又研究了一下，我们town 去年地产税收入372million……其实政府压根也没啥拨款。
以及388million的预算里有211million花在了学校教育上。
感慨万千。
