A perfect illustration of why accurate historical memory matters.
Imagine showing up at a political protest, seeing Confederate flags and guys wearing “Camp Auschwitz” t-shirts, and thinking “yeah, this is where I was meant to be, let’s gooooooo!”
Historical memory is a powerful thing. There is a decent chance that this is how January 6 will be taught in the 2040s, as the continuation of the spirit of 1776.
@sethcotlar The thing about these people and 1776 is: if you take 3 from the first 7 and then add 1 to the second 7 and 2 to the 6, you get 1488.
