Using Ad-blockers is one way
Doing it at aggregation points is another
Or, just don't clock Ads. I cannot recall ever clicking an Ad

I've used a PiHole for years, both at home and at my office back when I used to work. Not only cleans up the ol' browser, saves some bandwidth too! Not to mention it gives me an excuse to play with Raspberry Pi's, since they're perfect for stuff like that. 😃
