quantify the economic value of your own learning each year from age twenty to sixty and get some other people to do it and i'll know how to set the price of education

What about those of us who are self-taught? My certifications weren't free, but the costs associated with those would be nothing compared to a traditional college education. 😉
@AndyLowry self taught is an illusion, and your time is worth some amount when applied to learning. i dunno if the economics will work out the same for everyone. i need to see the data.

Ahh, I had not thought of it that way. That would be an interesting thing to contemplate. Trying to remember what happened when and what my time was worth would be a challenge in itself, though I think I could come up with a crude estimate.
