A gift, this is a fantastic introduction to the history, systems, and practices of Taoism. In fact, those are the main three sections of the book. As a philosophy/spirituality/religion that has existed for thousands of years, there is obviously a bit of diversity in the ways that Taoism has developed, splintered, come together again, etc. That's not even to mention the ways it has mixed with Confucianism and Buddhism to lay some of the foundations for Chinese culture to this day. 2/?
