Long COVID linked to lower brain oxygen levels, cognitive problems and psychiatric symptoms
Subjects performed worse on computer tasks measuring inhibition and impulsive decision-making; showed a lack of increase in oxygen saturation in an area of the brain that is normally engaged during said tasks. Also had difficulty concentrating and problems with inhibition, as well as increased symptoms of anxiety and depression.
