OK sure, we're still in a pandemic and a shitload of people will be totally fucked up, many for the rest of their lives, but many won't die. At least not right away or immediately obvious as related.

True, the number of deaths will still be unacceptably high..
But let's be honest, as a society, it seems that we just don't care.
