Important question for all who #WearARespirator!
My partner is tired of wearing #3mAura bc they make her feel claustrophobic (sensory) & don’t always seal properly around the nose.
We’re looking for a new kind of #respirator for her that has a pretty universal fit (which I’ve been told is true of Auras; I love them for me).
Tried #duckbill #N95 but the wire is pretty harsh on the bridge of her nose.

@nothingtoseehere @novid We LOVE our Flo respirators. Three of us have higher nose bridges, and one of us has lower, so we have different sizes. They fit us amazingly well. It sits so far off your face that they don’t actually keep your face warm in the cold air of winter. It’s gonna be great for summer though! They said that the Everyday filter is more Breathe able than the Pro? We’ve only tried the Pro and have no problems breathing.
@DayWalkingRedhead Thanks! I’ve heard great things about Flo by and large; any suggestions about which size to get for an adult w/a higher nose bridge and average sized head?

We use both Flo masks and GVS Elipse in our house and like both. I'd probably try the "size 2" with Flo for a higher nose bridge.
In terms of disposables, I've found DemeTECH N95's fit some faces that others don't well, and also while they're KF94's the boat-shaped LG Airwashers also seem to fit a wider variety of faces well and tested out well in @masknerd testing if I remember correctly.
@nothingtoseehere @BE @masknerd I’ve seen several studies now that show ear loops are just an inadequate seal, regardless. There are a ton of options to convert any ear loops to head straps though.
@BE @masknerd @DayWalkingRedhead Exactly! I have seen those too. She’s not adverse to head straps on principle, but prefers the ear loop KF94s (adjusted, though; always tied to make the fit much tighter!).
Bc we live in NYC, we really need to find something for her that’s comfortable and high quality (with head straps) to get guaranteed protection in allllll the crowded places one must go to do basic things (like get groceries) 😅
@nothingtoseehere If she prefers earloops, that might be a really good reason to go with the breathe2 over the Flo--the breathe (or breathe2) is the only elastomeric I'm aware of that gives you a good seal even with earloops (which is why I wear it now as my everyday mask even though I think the Flo is cuter on).

I definitely hear you. I go back and forth on the issue myself and so I sometimes have a hard time recommending the LG for others, but, it's a good mask if there's a good enough seal. Always fit test if you can in the end. No matter what anything else or anyone else says that's the best way to know for you and your mask.
We have one of them hanging next to our front door for those times where a delivery person or someone comes up that you can't get rid of and are forced to open the door :)
@BE @masknerd @DayWalkingRedhead Awesome, that’s really good to know. I appreciate your recommendations! Especially for the KF94/boat shaped LG Airwashers. She really prefers that style of mask; I’m just nervous about ear loops vs. head straps and getting a good seal, you know?
