Today a student told me the reason she’s been gone for two weeks is because she has been having weird illnesses/symptoms and at one point wound up in the hospital because she was having trouble breathing. I asked her if she’s had COVID and she said “oh it wasn’t COVID this time, but yes, I’ve had it three times.” I asked her if she’d ever heard of people having weird health problems after multiple COVID infections and she said no. She’d never heard of long COVID. The CDC is a failure
@DrPsyBuffy The CDC abdicated all of it's responsibilities a long time ago. BUT....Why in god's used to be green earth didn't her health care professionals tell her about long COVID?! We are a disgrace among developed nations....
I find that this tracks pretty well with what I've seen from people I know. Their doctors consistently tell them "COVID doesn't do that" no matter what symptoms they present with post-COVID infection.
