Why: because back in the day, we ran Solaris at the isp I worked at and we were getting owned, and Sun wasn't doing jack about it, despite my providing them working exploit code. Moved our dns and Apache to openbsd in a very busy week - and life was suddenly good. It took sun a solid 6 months after that to provide a patch that worked, but by then it didn't matter. We ran that isp on openbsd until I left.
