@chardin Welcome to 🦣! Your work sounds really interesting. Can you describe a little more how you quantify physiology? Do you have any work describing stroke? Sometimes I feel like we need more numbers and models to describe so many things in medicine; our definitions and work around a lot of diagnoses is too vague to be useful sometimes. #MedMastodon

@Britt : I am a medical intensivist so we mostly concentrate on respiratory failure. Critical illness is a very complex system, which makes clinical trials hard to interpret. We use mathematical modeling to help untangle things. Here is a recent paper: 10.1016/j.ebiom.2021.103809
