That would be my best guess, but I can't imagine anyone circulating a report like that without vetting it first. It sounds implausible on the face of it.

Yes, I did read the article but fact remains that, on the face of it, it's too strange a claim to believe and whomever echoed that story didn't do proper vetting before doing so.
