"This book is absolutely amazing. The analysis by Doug Adams is phenomenal and there are so many connections and insights that I’d never have discovered without this book. Really makes you appreciate the complete genius of Howard Shore!"

#SocialMedia #News #Journalism #Media: "Facebook’s exit from news tracks tracks with a move toward TikTok and Youtube, and a worldwide decrease in commenting on and sharing news articles. That’s one of the findings from Oxford’s Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism (RISJ) in its 2023 Digital News Report, out this week.

RISJ has released a digital news report every year since 2012. This year it surveyed more than 90,000 people in 46 countries about their news consumption, via a YouGov survey as well as qualitative research about subscriptions in the U.S., U.K., and Germany. It’s a big, meaty report. Here are a few of the main findings. And stay tuned because we’ll be running two more pieces by RISJ researchers over the coming week — one on how audience thinking about news algorithms has evolved, and one about how news participation has changed."

Most have heard of the Iron Man. Did you know the "Fe" in Female is for Iron? Simply put, the "Iron" comes with the package! 😀

I am sad all the other farm animals were left out of Goat Yoga. I’m starting a fitness club that is all-inclusive. We are going to have Sheep Dips, Lamb Planks, Pig Races, Cowlisthenics and, of course, Duck-Duck-Goose.

Viral emissions into the air and environment after SARS-CoV-2 human challenge: a phase 1, open label, first-in-human study

1. Super spreaders
2. Highest infectiousness on Day 3
3. Symptoms do not match amount spread
4. Most emissions happen when symptoms start
5. Airborne is the main transmission but there was enough viable virus on surface to recommend hand washing/surface cleaning

"2 individuals emitted 86% of airborne virus, and the majority of airborne virus collected was released on 3 days. Individuals who reported the highest total symptom scores were not those who emitted most virus. Very few emissions occurred before the first reported symptom (7%) and hardly any before the first positive lateral flow antigen test (2%)."

Questions that I have - the 7% of people who did spread virus before symptoms began - were they the super spreaders?

Look, I have no problem with the Israelites, but they’re not special in any way other than in their own minds. It’s a shame people treat them like crap, but I don’t remember them being enslaved in modern times, or ripped from their homelands and families to make money for people who followed an offshoot of their religion.
Humans are so fearful of things that doesn’t exist in reality. It’s almost as if they are all hallucinating.

Spotted on today's lunchtime walk (it rained, finally!) - baby chestnuts bursting out of their paper casings, a sudden declaration of bright green spikes.

So now we learn that DoJ was willfully not pursuing the treason of Jan 6th. This is treasonous in itself, and heads should start rolling. But they won't, because we've lost our taste for democracy. But they should.

#tuin #Bloomscrolling #florespondence #EdibleGarden 😍

The “guns don’t kill people” people sure seem to think a book can make you gay.
