Setting aside videos from a couple of military senior officers, the silence tonight from Russian state officials — namely the nation's politicians — is deafening. The feds have charged a prominent mercenary head with insurrection, guys.

VCHK-OGPU - from their source: "The attempts to act against Prigozhin come solely from FSB and Russian Guards. The Ministry of Defense has withdrawn itself, lower-rank officers either simply refuse to follow orders, or openly support Wagner.
As for Shoigu and co. - they simply hid and entirely lost their touch with reality. Apparently, the scare is serious."

I’m guessing the only thing we can be sure of about this emerging Russia story is that we shouldn’t think we can be sure about anything at all. Not yet anyway.

Still giving us good information on what's going on

My notifications are blowing up from this thread already, and I haven't read them all yet. But go ahead and miss me with the "RHEL is too expensive" complaints. Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation:

"Taking advantage of Prigozhin's provocation to disorganize the situation, the Kiev regime in the Bakhmutovsky tactical direction is concentrating units of the 35th Marine Brigade and the 36th Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the starting lines for offensive operations.

Let’s keep an eye on what’s going on with the leader of the Wagner paramilitary group. I’m not saying we’re close to a military coup in Russia, but if that were to happen I think its initial stages would look an awful lot like what’s happening there tonight.

Leafmining flies for #Flyday #FlyFriday, both on weeds in my yard.

A Pegomya wygodzinskyi mine on Red-root Amaranth (Amaranthus retroflexus) and a Liriomyza taraxaci on Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale). The larvae are visible in the mines when back-lit like these.

We owe an enormous thanks to @ceiseman for all his work on collating and discovering so much about leafminers!
