I think I need to return to college & study more sociology. I’m so confused.

Most people we know (not all, certainly, but MOST) are decent, moral, reasonably “good” people who hold down a job, pay their fair share of taxes, care for their kids, contribute time and/or money to worthy causes, believe in doing more right than wrong, help a neighbor, respect immigrants & those different from themselves, obey most laws out of respect for law not because of penalties, maybe struggle with debt but at least try to pay it, and back their country & Constitution most of the time. This applies internationally, as well.

Why then are so many LEADERS such shitheads? Why are good people (admit it, they are good people) rabidly adoring, supporting, electing, the WORST corrupt, dehumanizing, stupid creeps?

Look at the losers in the MAGA Congress. Look abroad at newly-elected authoritarians. Look at those whispering dastardly policies in Fucko’s ear. WHY ARE THEY IN POWER OR ADJACENT TO IT?

I don’t get it.
