I'm fully against armed AI #drones & against drone #warfare in general. We've seen, over decades, how awful evil men can be - without using drones to kill people. It won't improve with adding more drones to warmongering arsenals - it will get worse. Drones remove the face to face human impacts of war. Turns it into a remote controlled video game for folks prone to unhinged violence. Fuels more #dehumanization of people.

I only support drones for #humanitarian relief missions. Not for killing.

I’ve decided I’m going to try to learn Python along with my kids as they learn coding. We got them a basic iBuyPower (I like their machines) for Christmas along with some Scratch and Python coding for beginners books (including Minecraft coding). So that’s going to be our big Christmas activity.

We also are getting a hydroponic garden system and a sewing machine. I’m on a DIY kick, lol.

People are wrong about Daylight Savings time.
Every time you'll get dozens of articles saying Is it time to get rid of daylight savings? as if it's a bad thing.
The truth is we're not doing it enough.

The real reason everyone is confused is because we took a half step. The world is a sphere, not a flat plane. Because we're missing an entire dimension of detail, we're only doing half the daylight savings required.

What do I mean by this?
You see, we currently save daylight by longitude, but if we want a truly accurate amount of daylight savings we will also require time dilation by latitude. So the further you get from the equator the more we have to slow the clocks down to ensure everyone actually receives their full day in the sun. This is because each day and night is longer the closer you get to the north or south pole.

This is the essential factor missing from a physically accurate daylight savings model.

Weird thing about these Hallmark/Lifetime Christmas movies: they all take place in a small town that is totally unlike any small town you've ever been in.

Here's an Ospreay (Pandion haliaetus) that I saw today. The bird was high over the ocean and long way off. The photo isn't the greatest, but it might be the best photo of an osprey that I've taken.

"Ospreys are unusual among hawks in possessing a reversible outer toe that allows them to grasp with two toes in front and two behind. Barbed pads on the soles of the birds' feet help them grip slippery fish. When flying with prey, an Osprey lines up its catch head first for less wind resistance.
