A memory for #JohnMastodonDay : Years ago, John helped me plant an apple tree in the yard. It was a hot day, so he took off his shirt. Word must have got around, because all the women in the neighborhood found an excuse to walk their dogs by us. I though it was objectifying, but John was cool; he’s used to it.

Whilst rightfully celebrating the all-too-real #JohnMastodon on #JohnMastodonDay, let us not forget to also honor the memory of Ernestine Toot, the woman behind the man and the true technical genius. Few remember her, but there was one thing she was not, and that is a white man, in spite of what the hallucinating image generators keep trying to cough up for everyone.
