Morocco still occupies 70 % of Western Sahara and during the war built the world's largest military wall of 2,700 kilometres, comprising around 10 million landmines, 200,000 soldiers and countless ground radars to keep the Frente Polisario away from the towns in the occupied territory.

In 1991, a ceasefire was signed on the basis that the Sahrawi people would be allowed to hold a referendum the following year and determine their own destiny. Through diplomatic manoeuvres and the support of France and the USA, it was repeatedly postponed and reshaped.

After 30 years of diplomacy and progressive disenfranchisement of the Sahrawis, the armed struggle was resumed in 2020 and is still being waged today.

@GottaLaff I still don’t get what actual legal questions are being raised by Roman’s attorneys in all this. Even if Willis did hire Wade specifically to get some financial benefit, that sounds like some kind of ethical issue, but not something that would have an effect on the fairness of the trial. I must be missing something in it because a judge agreed to hear the whole thing.
