@BlackAzizAnansi The 2003 invasion of Iraq was one milestone -- the Bush administration was clearly just finding rationalizations to invade, yet many people said "we have to trust the President", and the Democrats who opposed the invasion were totally inept. I'd call it imperialism rather than fascism, but it's all part of the same process.
The next milestone was Jan 6 2022. Again, Trump was clearly looking for any excuse to reject the election results and establish a dictatorship. Yet there have been no real consequences for Trump or the people who supported him.
