US National Weather Service (NWS) on Mastodon
MANY (but not all) US National Weather Service feeds are mirrored on Mastodon by bots; to find them do a search for NWS

@amart still would be better if they were weather.gov activitypub accounts
@amart @qkslvrwolf Do you know if RSS feeds could be used as the source rather that Twitter accounts?
https://www.weather.gov/rss
@qkslvrwolf @amart I guess not. It looks like there are only 5 specific locations covered.
Weather Forecast Office Marquette, MI
Weather Forecast Office Honolulu
Weather Forecast Office Detroit
Weather Forecast Office Indianapolis
Weather Forecast Office Riverton WY
@qkslvrwolf @amart But I did find RSS when I selected a random station from that list. On the Pittsburgh page, there is a link to RSS just underneath the Twitter widget.
@qkslvrwolf @DecaturNature@qoto.org If you're referring to the NWS weather bot accounts, there are some regional accounts but not a lot.
@amart I mean, for all the folks replying with proxy accounts, it's also the principal of the thing; I'd like to see agencies like this leaning into the fediverse because I think it's socially better than leaning into corporate social media.
@DecaturNature @amart Does that include all the linked regional accounts?
