Note to all TV writers: there's no such thing as redemption and no such thing as good people doing bad things.
Stop writing redemption arcs
@SEGFAULT this makes the assumption that perfection is required to be good. Why do you feel that perfection is necessary for goodness?
@Demosthenes keep in mind we're talking about media, media is a microcosum of reality and many people use it as a manual on how to behave. So yes I am sick of TV writers writing "well meaning" assholes that are always forgiven for hurting the people around them:
@Demosthenes those people are bad people. The veneer that these people are just acting out or misunderstood is a toxic lie used to continue protecting abusers.
